Actor Lee Sun-Kyun to face police investigation after criminal complaint

According to an announcement from the National Drug Crime Investigation Agency, actor Lee Sun-Kyunhas been criminally charged with violating the Narcotics Control Act. As a result, his status has been changed to suspect, and he will reportedly be questioned by police in the near future.

In the meantime, he’s been receiving all sorts of drug-related threats. The blackmailer turned out to be the owner of an adult entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Seoul. He is currently in police custody for violating the Controlled Substances Act.

According to police, Mr. Lee recently filed a complaint against Mr. A with the Incheon District Prosecutors’ Office, claiming that he was “threatened and extorted about 300 million won in connection with a drug case.” The Incheon District Prosecutor’s Office transferred the threatening case filed by Mr. Lee to the Incheon National Police Agency.

Drug charges linked to two sex workers

Lee, who is currently being investigated by the Incheon National Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Division, was arrested last week on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act (Hyangjeong).

The Incheon Drug Crime Investigation Division is investigating A, B, a woman in her 20s who works at an adult entertainment establishment, and Lee for violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Police have reportedly secured evidence of Lee’s alleged use of cannabis and other drugs at A’s residence in Seoul.

There are currently five people under investigation for drug use, including a third-generation chaebol and an aspiring singer, both of whom reportedly have a history of drug use. However, their specific allegations have yet to be revealed. (See the blog post below for more information).

A total of eight people, including Lee Sun-Kyun, are suspected of injecting drugs multiple times this year at nightclubs and residences in Gangnam, Seoul. In this regard, the police reportedly obtained intelligence on drug distribution in Gangnam nightclubs and also obtained information related to Lee Sun-Kyun.

Lee Sun-Kyunclaims to have been extorted for hundreds of millions of won in connection with the case and has filed racketeering charges against those involved in the drug case with prosecutors.
