BTS member V has recently appeared in singer IU’s new music video, the last project he’ll be involved in before enlisting in the military, according to an exclusive Star News investigation. IU is currently working on a new album and is aiming to release it in the first half of next year. No specific release date has been set yet, but the music video was reportedly rushed to shoot in light of Bieber’s 11-day active duty enlistment in the Army.
V and IU’s special relationship and friendship
It’s no secret that V and IU are close friends. In September, V made a guest appearance on IU’s YouTube channel, “IU’s Palette,” proving their close friendship. It was there, in particular, that they got to talking about music, and they’re now very close.
What we’ve been up to and what’s next
IU hasn’t made any major music activity since the release of “Sculpture” in December 2021. However, last September, she became the first female singer in Korea to successfully hold a solo concert, “The Golden Hour: Under the Orange Sun,” at the Jamsil Sports Complex Olympic Stadium. Meanwhile, the movie Dream, released in April of this year, was a bit of a disappointment at the box office with 1.12 million admissions, just shy of the break-even mark of 2.18 million.
